Celebrating Mom

Mother's Day 2008

This was the first year that we celebrated at my house and it was a wonderful time. Sister and I cooked up some Mexican food for Mom Sunday evening. I made those cheater enchiladas that T had on her blog and everyone loved them. Sister made tacos and brought dessert.

All the cousins had a blast together and they were still long enough for us to get this great picture. Can you believe every little one of them is actually looking at the camera and not making some weird face? Awesome.

I am so very, very blessed.
Happy Mother's Day!

Handprints

This isn't my first Mother's Day, but it is the first one that my sweet baby boys have been in school.

Is there any better Mother's Day card or gift than the ones your children make themselves especially for you?

With a little help from their wonderful teachers these are the cards I got today. I absolutely LOVE them and I will cherish them ALWAYS.

Pecan Street Festival

Today we hit our 4th festival in 4 weekends. It was hot, but we had a GREAT time. The boys enjoyed snow cones and pony rides. Here are just a few pictures. Enjoy!

Fridge

Michael has finally figured out how to open the refrigerator door causing much frustration. I don't know how many times I have gone in the kitchen and found the door wide open, nobody insight. For no reason, other than he can, he will stand there and just open and close, open and close the door. He is so proud that he is so strong. Fortunately, some of the newness and excitement of this achievement has worn off.

Another thing, why is there a 'd' in fridge, but not refrigerator???

National Day of Prayer

There are so many things that we need to pray for:
Our Nation, Our President, Our Leaders, Our Troops, Our Families, Our Children, Our Church, Our Schools, Our Communities, Peace, Health........

Prayer is so powerful.

Philippians 4:6
Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.
